Joakim Kocjancic

Joakim Kocjancic talks about photography and how to become an artist:

”I got my first camera from my father as a child but went to art school and started to paint. Later on the camera became my creative tool.
Photography is direct, raw, surrealistic, symbolistic and analogue black and white for me. I find my inspiration in everything: literature, film, painting, exhibitions and I’m listening to a lot of music when working in the darkroom. Just walk around and watch the surrounding, the light and meet people. To young photographers - think long term, think why and create a lifestyle that makes it possible to do your thing and to build something.”
