Adam Karls Johansson
When Greta Thunberg started her School Strike for Climate in August 2018, Adam was the only photographer/journalist present for the first hours. He took the unique portrait of her sitting all alone on the pavement outside the Swedish Parliament - a photo which is now a historic document and a very special work of art.
Adam Karls Johansson's work is driven by an interest and a feeling for equal rights and climate struggle. Besides the photos of Greta Thunberg he have followed the lives and conflicts of the Sámi people in northern Europe and he was one of the first photographers to attend the fight for Standing Rock in the US. He is living in Stockholm but are working all over the world searching for motives and new stories to tell.
