Josef Sudek
Josef Sudek (1896 - 1976) was a Czech photographer, in his artistry he was mostly active in Prague and is well known for his poetic and suggestive depiction of the city. Especially the night-scales during the second World War. Other renewed series are The Window of my Atelier Series and The Labyrinths Series, the last one depicting the crowded interior of his studio. Sudek studied under Jaromir Funke and his style is often described as "neo-romantic". He was always very experimental and founded the Czech Photographic Society in 1924.
